Sunday weather: hot and dry, with rain in the north

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts hot and dry weather for most parts of the country on Sunday. However, some areas in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, as well as in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab will get partly cloudy weather with sporadic rain.

Going region by region, PMD says that Islamabad and surrounding areas will get hot and dry weather, but with a possibility of rain.

Likewise, in Punjab hot and dry weather is likely to prevail in most districts. However, Murree, Galiat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, DG Khan, Multan and surrounding areas are expected to be partly cloudy with rain at a few places along with strong winds.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sunday is expected to bring hot and dry weather for most districts. But partly cloudy weather and some rain is likely for Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Chitral, Shangla, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Kohistan, Mansehra, Bajaur, Khyber, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Kohat, Hangu, Waziristan and Kurram. PMD warns that hailstorm may also occur at a few places during this time.

Sindh will remain hot and dry on Sunday, while Balochistan’s weather will be cloudy until the afternoon. Particularly, Barkhan, Kohlu, Zhob, Musakhel, Khuzdar and surrounding areas, with rain with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places.

Kashmir will be partly cloudy in most districts, with rain with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places. Likewise, Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to be partly cloudy on Sunday with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places.
